This policy explains how Sweeper Labs, Inc. ("Sweeper," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit sweeperlabs.com or use our services.
1) Who this policy covers
Sweeper provides identity-verification, custody-documentation, and payment-facilitation technology for the auto-transport industry. Our services are used by three types of business users and their authorized personnel:
- Dealers — dealerships and auctions that ship or receive vehicles.
- Brokers — transport brokers that arrange or operate vehicle transport.
- Carriers — transport companies and their drivers that pick up, move, and deliver vehicles.
This policy applies to visitors to our website and to dealers, brokers, carriers, and their authorized personnel (including drivers) who use Sweeper.
This policy also covers the Sweeper mobile app for drivers, in addition to sweeperlabs.com and app.sweeperlabs.com.
2) Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and business details such as name, business email address, phone number, company or dealership name, role, and USDOT/MC or similar identifiers you submit when you contact us, request early access, or use the service.
- Messages you send us (including emails, and form or chat messages if enabled).
- A record of the terms you accepted when you submit a form — the effective dates of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy shown to you at that moment, and the time of submission. We keep this so we can show which version of these documents applied to your submission.
- When you use the Sweeper service, information needed to verify identity and document custody — which, depending on your role, may include driver identity details, vehicle information (such as VINs), insurance documentation, photographs, location at pickup and delivery, and delivery confirmations. Where we verify driver identity against state DMV records, we do so through an approved vendor for a permissible use under the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA).
Information collected automatically
- Server and usage data such as IP address, browser type, referring or exit pages, and the date and time of your request, recorded by our hosting provider to operate and secure the site.
- This marketing site does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site trackers. It does use Google reCAPTCHA and Firebase App Check to verify that form submissions come from a genuine browser and to prevent automated abuse; these store a token in your browser for that purpose and are governed by Google’s privacy policy. We do not use them to track you across sites. The Sweeper product application uses session storage for authentication.
Information collected by the Sweeper mobile app
- Precise location, including geofence entry at pickup and delivery stops. Background location may be used during an active transport, with prominent in-app disclosure and your operating system's permission.
- Camera and photos — vehicle condition images, VIN captures, and documents.
- Device integrity signals — attestation results (Google Play Integrity, Apple App Attest) and mock-location or developer-mode indicators, used for fraud prevention and credential-release security.
- Device identifiers and app diagnostics, including crash and error data.
Biometrics
Certain higher-assurance verifications may use biometric liveness checks. Where they do, we will obtain your separate express written consent before collection, and will handle biometric identifiers in accordance with applicable law, including state biometric privacy statutes. We do not currently perform biometric liveness checks.
3) How we use information
- Respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and provide requested information.
- Provide the service — verify identity, document custody, verify insurance, and facilitate payment between the parties to a transport.
- Evaluate early-access interest and communicate about updates, services, or offers (where permitted).
- Provide, secure, improve, debug, and develop the site and services.
- Prevent fraud, secure the platform, and enforce our policies.
4) Text messages, calls, and email communications
If you choose to opt in, Sweeper may contact you by SMS/text, phone, or email about your inquiry, scheduling, account, or services.
SMS/Text
- Message frequency varies.
- Msg & data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
We use service providers to deliver messages and operate our systems. We do not sell your phone number.
5) How we share information
- Service providers who help us operate the site, app, and services on our behalf — payment processing by Stripe (via Stripe Connect; Sweeper never holds funds), cloud hosting on Google Cloud, mapping and geolocation via Google Maps Platform, an identity-document verification vendor, insurance-verification data from FMCSA and related sources, a transactional email provider, an error-monitoring provider, and an SMS provider when messaging launches.
- Between transacting parties. To enable a verified handoff, we share the information necessary for a transport among the dealer, broker, and carrier involved — for example, a carrier sees the load it was dispatched, and a dealer sees the evidence chain. We limit what each party sees to what its role requires.
- Legal/compliance if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We share only what's reasonably necessary for these purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6) Your choices

As described in the retention section below, custody and verification evidence subject to a legal hold cannot be deleted while the hold applies.
7) Data retention and security
We keep information as long as needed for business, legal, and operational purposes. Custody and verification evidence may be retained under a legal-hold basis where required for claims or disputes. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is 100% secure.
